Dispatch #006: Mixed Bag in Yorkshire and the North East
THE MISSION
THE LOG
Started the day early at the customer’s yard in Leeds where I’d spent the night. First job was getting the Moffett off the back to tip all that site gear I collected yesterday.
My boss messaged last night with a fresh plan: a collection over in Holbeck, Leeds. It was a load for an electrical supply company up in Cramlington, just north of Newcastle. Once that was dropped, I headed back down to Middlesbrough to a large fabrication firm.
They’d sold a massive Altendorf panel saw to the CNC company we regularly do work for. It’s a serious bit of kit, but we got it on board and secured without any drama. From there, it was a straight run down to Hinckley.
I’m parked up at the CNC company’s yard now for the night, ready to tip the saw first thing tomorrow morning. As for what’s next? Your guess is as good as mine—I’m waiting to see what the boss has lined up for me once the deck is clear.
The weather has behaved itself for the most part today. A bit of rain here and there, but compared to the blizzards, it’s been a decent day on the road.
Check back tomorrow to see where the next load takes me.
THE NIGHT OUT
Stayed at customers yard. Again!
